The gastronomic tradition

In the territory of Cortino, the fine dining lovers can enjoy exquisite traditional dishes and locally produced goods of excellent quality. The local cuisine, typically mountainous, is simple and authentic, based on pastoral products such as dairy, sheep, and lamb meat, as well as products from small-scale agriculture like potatoes and beans, or from the forest like mushrooms and chestnuts.

During the colder months, it is recommended to taste soups made with chickpeas and chestnuts, and polenta, accompanied by a delicious sauce of sausages, game, or porcini mushrooms, typical of the area. Additionally, the preparation of cured meats is a gastronomic tradition of the area, where you can find salami, sausages, prosciuttos, and lonzini that are served as an appetizer or as an aperitif accompanied by a good glass of wine, while enjoying the enchanting views of these magnificent places.
